What is Arklie?
Arklie is a compliance app for landlords in England and Wales. It works out which safety and legal checks apply to each property you let, reads the dates from your certificates, reminds you before anything lapses and gathers what you need for the Private Rented Sector Database.
What does Arklie keep track of?
Gas safety records, electrical safety reports (EICR), Energy Performance Certificates (EPC), smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, tenancy deposit protection and property licences, including HMO, additional and selective licences.
How does Arklie know what my property needs?
You answer a few plain questions about each property: what it is, how it is let and whether it is licensed. Arklie uses your answers to work out which rules apply, shows what is in date and what is missing, then keeps watch.
Does Arklie read my certificates?
Yes. Scan or upload a certificate and Arklie reads the dates for you to check. Nothing is saved until you confirm, and you are reminded by push notification or email before it runs out.
What is the PRS Database?
The Private Rented Sector Database is the new register of private landlords and the homes they let in England, introduced by the Renters' Rights Act 2025. Registration opens region by region from 15 December 2026, and every landlord letting property in England must be registered by 14 November 2027. It does not cover Wales, where landlords register with Rent Smart Wales.
How does Arklie help with the PRS Database?
